Introduction
SoftPerfect Ping Monitor is a free desktop application that keeps an eye on network hosts by pinging them, continuously. It tracks latency, packet loss and jitter as they happen and shows the results three ways: a sortable table with sparklines, a grid of tiles, or a hop-by-hop trace of the route.
Each host is rated good, degraded or critical against thresholds you set, and Ping Monitor speaks up when something changes – on the desktop, by e-mail, or by running a script of your own. Everything lives in a local SQLite database. There is no account to create and nothing to subscribe to.
